My mother suffers from Alzheimers and needs 24 hour care. The decision for her to move to Magnolia House was made following thorough research. Sixteen months later I know that we made the right choice as the home is very modern and well maintained to a high standard. Moreover all the staff are very pleasant, caring and have a high standard of professionalism. Mothers complex needs were quickly assessed following discussions with mum and her family, then met fully by the staff. Her wishes are vied as being paramount. Mum is always very well presented and involved in all the activities at the home but most importantly she appears contented and always has a smile.

Mrs Lynne Spencer (Daughter of Resident)

Magnolia House is a fantastic, high quality care home with brilliant hard working, caring staff who are always there to help. I would definitely recommend this home to my family and friends. Each resident always has a smile on their face making it a very happy atmopsphere to be in!

Abbie Kissane (Nurse)

I truly cannot recommend Magnolia House too highly. The care my father receives there is second to none. He has a lovely room and the community facilities are akin to a luxury hotel, no expense is spared to create a cosy and welcoming atmosphere. The food is varied and beautifully cooked - just like you would serve at home. What is most important though are the wonderful, caring staff. Without fail, they are always smiling, always caring, always approachable and always welcoming. It is a pleasure to visit dad and to know that he is well-cared for.

Alison (Daughter of Resident)

When we started looking for a care home for mum and dad, we visited 5 in total around the Mansfield area, Magnolia House had already been recommended to us but stood out from the others. From entering the care home the first thing that is apparent is the overall cleanliness. As we were show around, the maintaining of high standards was also clearly apparent. All the staff are hand picked for their ability to care for the residents, its not just a job to them. Food is excellent as are all the provided services. There are ample events and activities to keep residents engaged, active and happy. Senior management are extremely good and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for the residents or families alike. The owner of the care home is clearly dedicated and successful in providing an excellent service. This is reflected in the general rule that residents want for nothing. In conclusion: Magnolia House provides high quality care for my parents and if i had not already done so I would recommend it to anyone. Many thanks from all my family.

Michelle Ward (Daughter of Residents)

The residents are well looked after, well fed and kept clean. Plenty of entertainment for them. The staff are very friendly and sociable.

Mrs Linda Maureen Lowery (Friend of Resident)

Mum and I were so frightened by the prospect of residential care but Magnolia House has alleviated all those fears. I visit every day, at various times, and I have only ever seen staff show care, empathy and love to all the residents. It is like a family for me, mum and our family, that we all love to visit. It is a caring, happy, positive and fun place to be as a resident or a visitor

Lisa Southwell (Daughter of Resident)

I was Very wary of putting my parents into a care home. However I now feel that choosing Magnolia House was one of the best decisions I have made. I now have the peace of mind in knowing my mum is safe and had regained her dignity. My dad loves living here. The staff are always friendly and caring. I was impressed that within the first couple of weeks, that they moved here, the staff seemed to all know who we were as well.

David White (Son of Residents)

Magnolia House has provided our parents with a loving and safe environment. A credit to the staff who have wonderful relationships with the residents. The activities and special evenings are also a wonderful part of the Magnolia Family.

Karen Starbuck (Daughter of Resident)

I visit every week with a group of 10 children from Crescent Primary. The staff at Magnolia House have made us so welcome and every day the children ask if it is the day to go. It is lovely to see the children developing good relationships with the residents and staff. They cannot wait to get into the room where everyone is waiting! The activities we do bring a smile to everyone’s face and the care the residents receive is amazing! It is such a warm, friendly nurturing environment and we feel lucky to be part of it.

Kerri Baker (Early Years Leader at Crescent Primary School)

The home is very clean and the staff are very helpful if you require anything, all you need to do is ask. There is plenty to do during the day. These are organised for you, games to play and singing, spring and summer there is dancing and also trips out

Derrick John Newton (Resident)

I have been visiting the housekeeping staff for a year now to complete training. I am always very impressed with how friendly the staff are. They are always very welcoming and say hello. The home is very well cleaned and maintained to an excellent standard.

Steph Walker (Trainer Assessor)

I visit the patients at the home most weeks. It is a pleasure, friendly staff that are kind and caring along with amazing food! Also my mother in law spent 6 weeks here which was of great benefit and pleasure after a hip fracture.
